Summer Florals

Typically, when you think of floral patterns, your thoughts immediately go to springtime. This classic pattern is generally associated with the changing of the seasons. And after a long winter, it is fun to see new floral designs making their way to the store floor. However, this pretty style shouldn't be limited to just a few months of the year. It is time to bring your spring florals into the summer sun!

One great way to incorporate floral into a summer wardrobe is to pair it with a different pattern. Stripes and floral are almost always going to be your best option. Pairing a striped top with a floral skirt is such a great look. Just be sure that your patterns are of similar color schemes. You wouldn't want a dark cold weather top with a bright warm weather skirt. So be aware of your colors!

Secondly, if your outfit has a small floral print, ensure that the top has a more form fit. When wearing busy fabrics, it is important that your outfit has shape. If not, you may find yourself wishing for something more flattering for your figure. Adding a belt can help emphasize your waistline!

Lastly, bring balance into your wardrobe to keep you looking stylish. Pair busy patterns with simpler jewelry and shoes. Most floral patterns don't typically go out of style from year to year so if you find a great piece, wear it!

Here are a few of my favorite Flourish florals that are adorable for summer!
