Color Trend: Pastels

Nothing shouts SPRING like beautiful shades of pastels, such as: soft mints, pinks, and lilacs!  Pastel colors are typically a big trend around Easter or spring time in general!  At Flourish, we have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to pastels, whether you're looking for: tops, skirts, shorts, or jewelry!  I know when you're in search of a new outfit, it's not easy if you're on a tight budget! One thing that I get really excited about when it gets warmer is; trench coats! (How can you not?!)  Some of the hottest colors for spring are mint and pink, and paired together they're all the more perfect! Look no further that this outfit, because you'll look so sweet in this sweater!  This long sleeved crop sweater is cute paired with shorts, high waisted jeans, or skirts!  We think it looks best when worn with a cute bralet underneath too, as shown here! If you've been tuned in to pop culture anytime in 2014 or 2015, then you know....this has been the year of Taylor Swift.  From number one hits to iconic fashion moments, T. Swift has owned the press and tabloids!  So in honor of Taylor's undeniable beauty and talent, we are excited to bring you a guide to how to get her look for less!

 There's no better feeling than admiring your favorite celebrity's outfit and finding a really affordable similar look for yourself!  We can't wait to show you the copy-cat looks that reflect her chic and girly sense of style! Taylor loves prints such as florals and stripes, and luckily Flourish has a lot of florals and stripes! We found some outfits she rocked and styled similar looks at Flourish! 

Taylor is known to wear a lot of feminine dresses: some are classic and elegant while others may have a quirky, retro vibe.  Here she owned the red carpet in this ivory lace dress. Doesn't she look beautiful in this classy piece?! The dress she is wearing has a beautiful embroidery pattern: so dainty! At Flourish, we have a very similar dress, which also has a beautiful dainty lace pattern! Taylor wore this for the Country Music Awards, but you can definitely copy her look and wear it for; engagement pictures, your bridal shower, graduation, or other special events!

This next look is hands down our favorite! We love how effortless and chic this two piece set is! Taylor really knows how to rock a simple outfit while still looking uber stylish and put together! Soft pastels work well for Spring and are perfect if you're not as into super vibrant colors! We have a very similar look and even a similar bag at Flourish, but for a fraction of the price! (Wooooo!) Our Julliard Dress, is simple, feminine, and chic and comes in this pastel pink to mimic Taylor's outfit. Taylor looks like she was wearing this outfit just out and about around town.  Her street style look and our look alike dress would be perfect for a shopping day or a casual lunch! Style this look with some heels, and a bold statement necklace or scarf!  Note: our designed inspired bag screams Taylor Swift's style! Look at her rocking a very similar bag!

  Crop tops are having a major moment in fashion right now, and they are so fun and sassy!  Of course, it makes sense that Taylor Swift is on top of this trend and has been seen rocking the crop top at numerous appearances. In these three pictures of her, she styled her crop tops differently, and we're loving how she styled each one! At the boutique, we have a crop top bralet that just arrived, and we paired it with a highwaisted circle skirt to get Taylor's look.  But, you could also use this bralet and put it under a top as a layering piece (gotta love a versatile piece!). We love the colors of these two items paired together! Another fashion item that Taylor Swift loves is the circle skirt.  Our copy cat look features a cute scalloped skirt which makes it even more Taylor-themed.

 Another thing we've noticed about Taylor's style is: she LOVES floral prints! Since FLORAL is a major trend for Spring fashion this year, the Flourish spring collection already features a multitude of floral dresses and tops, which make it easy to create Taylor-approved looks.  Below, Taylor is wearing a beautiful white dress with a pink floral print, paired with a casual cardigan.  Her look is perfectly girly but sophisticated! Flourish's version of this sweet floral dress, has a white background with vibrant floral prints all over, but we still think she would approve! To add a "Taylor touch" we also added a spring cardigan. And, to finish the look off, we accessorized with a bold statement necklace and neutral wedges!

Nothing says classy more than "peter pan" collars!  Of course, Taylor knows how to rock this trend as well!  This classic collar is another style Taylor loves, and we love it too: it's super chic!  Even though they are different colors, we have a similar style to the look she is wearing! The peter pan collar item that Flourish carries happens to be a vibrant gorgeous red dress (and we all know Taylor loves the color RED).  Besides, what is more classic and stylish than a red dress?!  Between the pleated skirt, high neckline, and lace collar this piece is full of feminine detail.  Style it with a cute pair of heels for a classic look, or flats like Taylor did!

Finally, we wanted to share one of our favorite quotes from Taylor Swift.  Taylor is such an inspiring person.  Her music has been a powerful voice to women all over the world, and she often uses her fame to uplift her fans.  She once said, "Happiness and Confidence are the prettiest things you can wear."
